Always remember:
- Never trust links or attachments in emails. Always type the address yourself
- Only give out your personal details when absolutely needed
- Never use email for sensitive information
- Purchase online only with secure websites – those that display a padlock
- Keep your passwords secret and hard to guess
- Be careful in Internet cafes and when using public computers - close your browser when finished
- Keep your software updated
