North Shore Libraries welcomes suggestions from library patrons for resources to be added to our collections. Suggestions are valuable in assisting us to ensure our collections are as up-to-date and as relevant as possible.
Items are unlikely to be purchased if they are:
- out of print
- very specialised or of limited general appeal
- tertiary texts
- not available to the New Zealand market
- format is unsuitable e.g. spiral-bound.
While a publication date within the last 2 years is preferred, all suggestions are considered.
We purchase material using a variety of sources and make every effort to obtain a title; however, some items may not be available to the New Zealand market. This particularly applies to DVDs, which must have the correct NZ ratings label from the Office of Film & Literature Classification.
Suggestions can be made online using the form below or by contacting a library staff member. As we inform customers when a suggestion is not purchased, your contact details are important (email preferred).
We welcome your feedback and thank you for your interest in the collections of North Shore Libraries.
