What can the Friends of the Library do?

  • Promote the interests of the library within the community.
  • Promote the joy of reading for pleasure, leisure, education and work.
  • Encourage our library staff who give us excellent service.
  • Provide valuable feedback about our stock and services.
  • Help with local history projects.
  • Take part in, and host, library events and activities such as demonstrations, author talks and speakers.
  • Assist with community initiatives.

As a Friend of the Library you can...

  • Receive information and invitations to library events.
  • Enjoy the fellowship of other library users.
As a "Friend" your involvement can be active or passive according to your wishes. Whichever way, your support will be greatly valued by library staff and the community.
If you would like to become a “Friend” please email the webmaster, or phone 486 8460 and ask to speak to the manager at your local library.
