Having lived in the Middle East as a child, I have come to realize that culture is encapsulated in food. This book is a fantastic example of this, with famous recipes of Persian dishes from all over Iran. Also featured, is a list of Iranian festivities, and a well designed glossary which translates the main ingredients.

The book is divided into food groups; from delicious stews to famous desserts, all with detailed ingredient listings and where to find them. Each dish is listed in its original Person title with an English translation subheading.

A great book for anyone with a passion for Middle Eastern cooking...
