This is a non-fiction book about the ongoing conflict in Palestine. Apart from being easy to read, it manages to put both points of view in a clear and fair way so that all through the book the reader is able to compare the impact of what’s happening as experienced by both the Palestinians and the Israelis. Empathy is engendered by using two characters, one from each side, and linking them by the fact that they both live in the same house but at separate times. A lot of the historical background will be known to the reader, for instance, the Six Day War ,but after reading this book one’s perception of this and many other world events will be altered.
