On a trip to interview a long-standing resident of a 1950s housing development, Rosie is somehow transported back in time to the 1950s when the new housing was both exciting and pleasant. She is welcomed as an American reporter, a role she accepts as it explains some of her befuddlement with mid-century English conservatism and chauvinism.
