Passage by Connie Willis
Date: 3 July 2009
At first one is tempted to think that Passage is an over-long book. But it builds and builds to the very end, and all the strands come together in one long rope that holds more questions than answers. Connie Willis writes about uncomplicated time travel coupled with wonderfully atmospheric descriptions of her main characters destination. Passage is set in a modern day American hospital and also, ah but that would be telling. There are a wide range of characters who engage and irritate but who all add to the depth of the story. Connie Willis has written a number of very readable novels that use time travel to widen the reader’s horizon.
