When a 14-year-old girl has to write an essay entitled ‘Who am I?’ it is the start of a mysterious journey for her. Lauren was adopted but her parents are unwilling to provide her with any information surrounding the adoption. When she discovers a website for missing children, she suspects that she may have been abducted when she was three years old. Her search for the truth leads her to America, where she slowly begins to piece together what happened to her. But her determination to find her birth parents results in a dangerous chain of events for both her adopted family and her new family. Although this book is classified as Young Adults it would appeal to anyone interested in stories about adoption or kidnapping.
