This book is really two parallel stories intertwined together, and it is not until the very end that the connection between the two narratives is explained. The characters in the book are a mix of misfits, criminals, policemen and ordinary people whose lives merge together to make an enjoyable mystery.

 

The theme of the book is about stolen gold, hence the name Bullion, that the characters are trying to locate. It also involves a murder and touches on the subject of drug-running. This story is uncomplicated and easy to read; however I did think that the ending was rather rushed and thus   disappointing. It would have been better with more detail to tie the whole story together.
