This is one of the feel-good books of the year. Set in Kigali, the capital of Rwanda, canny, big hearted businesswoman Grace Tungaraza is a professional with a successful cake baking business. You are drawn into her life and learn about the strength of women who have endured the horror of genocide and are living with the ravages of Aids, yet are still able to look to a better future for their children and their country. I loved this opportunity to be taken into the lives of these wonderful, real people in this beautifully written novel.
