If you have ever wondered how the kidnapping and disappearance of a baby affects a family, then I think you will enjoy listening to this story. The title of this book refers not only to the ‘missing’ child but also to the mother who disappears one morning after her husband drops her off at the railway station. Although it is quite a sad story, there are some really positive parts in it. I particularly enjoyed hearing about the ‘Slave Auction’ that involved a group of firemen raising funds for a worthy cause. I thought that the audio book was read extremely well and it was a pleasure to listen.
