This free service is brought to you by North Shore Libraries to support access to information and technology throughout our community.

Patrons must use the computer resources in a responsible and ethical manner. Users will not access inappropriate or pornographic material, or in any way display behaviour that is offensive or disruptive to staff or other patrons. Users who infringe these conditions may be asked to leave the premises.

Internet content is not filtered and library staff are not responsible for monitoring Internet access for children. Netsafe (http://www.netsafe.org.nz) has been developed to assist families with information and resources to make internet experiences safe and worthwhile.

The unauthorised copying of computer software, DVDs or CDs breaches copyright law and is strictly prohibited on library computers. Users undertaking illegal activities using North Shore Libraries’ computer resources will be asked to leave, and these activities may be reported to the police.

Users will be responsible for ensuring any files downloaded from the internet are free from viruses and similar security risks. The cost to repair any damage caused to North Shore Libraries’ computers or network will be recovered from the user responsible.

North Shore Libraries cannot accept responsibility for any network disruptions or the unavailability of certain websites.

While library staff will always endeavour to assist patrons who are having difficulty using computers, only limited technical assistance is available.
Patrons are responsible for logging off at the end of their computer session.
