The North Shore Libraries Foundation is a registered charity which raises funds to complement and support the provision of services within North Shore Libraries. This includes holding celebrity author events and organising book clubs. If you would like to be on our mailing list for future events, enquire about joining a book club or make a donation please contact us:

North Shore City 0740

The trustees of the Foundation see particular needs in information technology, services to elderly and housebound readers, children’s development, English as a second language, business information and a host of other projects. Working with the Foundation is a society made up of interested and active volunteers. We seek both your financial support and your involvement in this society.
If you enjoy the information and service provided by your libraries and would like to become a member of the society, or make a donation or bequest to us, the Foundation would be grateful. You may nominate a specific purpose or designated library for your gift if you wish.

The North Shore Libraries Foundation has hosted many varied and exciting author events. Previous visitors include Michael Palin, Kathy Reichs and Ian Rankin.

Book Clubs

The North Shore Libraries Foundation organises book discussion groups which meet on a monthly basis in each other's houses. The Foundation can find you a group to join, or a book group already formed can join and arrange access to sets of modern fiction, biographies and NZ literature. Please click here to email Jocelyn Magness for more information about book groups on the North Shore.
