Takapuna Collections & ServicesAngela Morton CollectionThe Angela Morton Collection is a reference collection of books and other materials related to New Zealand Art. The Collection is a memorial collection dedicated to the late Angela Morton, who was a North Shore resident devoted to New Zealand Art. Denny Hulme Automobile CollectionThe Denny Hulme collection was established to commemorate New Zealand's only Formula One racing champion (1967), the late Denny Hulme O.B.E. who died in October 1993. Designed for both motorsport enthusiasts and casual browsers, the collection celebrates New Zealand's golden era of motor racing and beyond, with an exciting array of past and present memorabilia. New Zealand CollectionThe New Zealand collection provides in depth coverage of the history of the North Shore - Te Raki Pae Whenua - and broad historical coverage of Aotearoa - New Zealand. The New Zealand Collection will be developed as a central point for general material relating to the history of New Zealand and specialist resources relating to the North Shore - Te Raki Pae Whenua. Official PublicationsThe Official Publications collection supports the need for the North Shore community to have access to government and local government information, law and legislation. In providing this service North Shore Libraries aim to enhance the democratic process and decision making for our residents and provide a source for those wishing to be informed on issues in central and local government. This resource also provides material of educational value to the wider community. Oral HistoryResidents have been helping us record the history of the North Shore for a number of years. Their stories are held in the North Shore Oral History Archive at the Takapuna Library - access is by appointment during Takapuna Library opening hours.
