North Shore Libraries' Stack collection, housed in Takapuna Library, is an open access collection containing classic titles, out of print titles, and items which are outdated but still of value to researchers. The collection contains both fiction and non-fiction titles and a number of bound serials. The majority of the items in this collection are able to be borrowed.
Closed Stack
Closed Stack is housed in Library Support Services behind Takapuna Library. The items in this collection are Stack items which remain of value to readers and researchers but are not used regularly. This is a closed access area from which most items may be requested. Requests may be placed online through the library catalogue or by visiting any of the North Shore Libraries.
Note: Older New Zealand titles are held at Takapuna Library in the New Zealand Collection, rather than in the Stack Collections.
