Learning Centre, Te Herenga Taiao

Glenfield Library has a Homework Centre for school children. After school children can get help for their homework projects and use the study space in our Learning Centre, Te Herenga Taiao. Library staff can help find material and guide children to find their own information through books, databases and Internet. More information about the learning centre can be found here.

Multicultural Collection

Glenfield Library holds a collection of Chinese and Korean language books and newspapers for children and adults.

Newspapers include:

• New Times Weekly
• Korean Sunday Times

Magazines include:

• Sinorama

Note: You cannot reserve these items.

Vertical File

Contains newspaper and magazine clippings on current affairs and general issues.

Internet and Catalogue Training

Internet and Catalogue Training for individuals and groups is available. Contact the Information Services Librarian for more information.

Library Tours

Library and learning centre orientation tours are available 7 days a week for groups and individuals. If necessary we have Mandarin, Korean, Farsi, Arabic and Hindi speaking staff members who are available able to assist your group.

Displays

Community groups may book our display board or book a time for your display to be in the library for a week. Please contact the Library Manager.

Noticeboards

Glenfield Library has a community and continuing education noticeboards. Please bring or post your pamphlets or posters to the library and hand to the staff.
